Bedrooms

At Hunters Lodge Residetial Care Home all the bedrooms are spacious and well equipped and have been designed to make sure the residents feel at home. 

Residents are encouraged to choose their own décor for their room to help them feel at home and to bring their personal items with them to promote an atmosphere of familiarity, individuality and most importantly to help them feel at home. We take pride in knowing that not one bedroom is decorated or designed the same as another at Hunters Lodge.

We also offer advice on what we feel helps a room to be calming, especially true with our Dementia Residents.

Sky TV can also be provided in bedrooms if required, at additional cost.

Cinema

We have a state of the art cinema room, compromising of a screen size of over 100 inches matched with full dolby surround sound.

Therefore, no matter what our residents want to watch whether that be one of our films on movie night or the latest nature documentary we have the facilities to do so in the finest environment.

Sensory Room

We have recently opened our sensory room which combines a range of stimuli to help develop and engage residents' senses.

This is in order to prolong deterioration of our residents' senses. Residents with Dementia have found this room along with the sensory garden very therapeutic.

Sensory Garden

Our Sensory Garden has also been specifically designed to develop and engage residents' senses.

With our fish pond and swing situated to provide a calming and relaxed environment. We have also thought about falls and trips putting in soft cushioned garden paths and artificial lawn to help suppress any accidents.

We encourage all our residents to take part in planting, with our sunflower competition being a favourite amongst most. The Sensory Garden was specifically designed to be Dementia friendly.
